Note:

For local public transportation in Düsseldorf, you will need only one "A" (one-way) ticket (EUR 2.40 as of January 2012) as long as you do not cross the city limits.

Normally, a single ticket is valid right away for the next 90 minutes. This type of ticket can be used for any destination within the city limits, e.g. starting from the airport or the main station.

The "A" tickets are valid for all trams and local buses as well. Click on this link to find more information on local and regional trains busses and trams.

By plane:
Arriving at Düsseldorf International Airport, take commuter train S11, leaving from airport terminal underground station every 20 minutes (at daytime).

Tickets are available from vending machines on the platform (NOT in the trains!).  After a 12 minute ride, exit the train at station "Düsseldorf Hbf" (main station).

Continue as decribed below (train arrival).

By train:

Arriving at Düsseldorf Hbf, take commuter train S1 to Solingen. Exit the train at station "Düsseldorf-Eller" (not Eller-Mitte!), travel time is 7 minutes.

As an alternative, use subway/tram U75 (platform in the basement of Hbf) going to Eller/Vennhauser Allee. In either case you will arrive within 3 minutes walking distance from our office.

By car:
Coming from Cologne/Leverkusen, follow Autobahn A59 north
Coming from Dortmund/Wuppertal, follow A46 west
Coming from NL/Oberhausen/Frankfurt/Cologne (east), follow A3 south to junction A46 (Hilden), change to A46 west (Neuss)
Coming from Belgium/Aachen/Cologne (north-west), follow A57 to junction Neuss-Süd, change to A46 east (Wuppertal)

In all cases use take exit Düsseldorf-Eller (26), follow 4-lane street (Deutzer Strasse/Heidelberger Strasse) to the SHELL gas station, make right turn, take second left (Krippstrasse), take first left at Pharmacy (Apotheke), find a parking spot.

Vohwinkelallee No. 8 is on the righthand side of the street (see map below).
